Ik heb M gevraagd om te babysitten op de kinderen in januari. 
Omdat ik niet zeker wist of ze dit wel wou doen, had ik haar gezegd dat ik haar extra er wou voor betalen ( een andere babysitter moet ik ook betalen). Blijkbaar was dat een belediging; het is deel van haar taak als ayi om voor de kinderen te zorgen en dus hoort dat babysitten er ook bij ( zonder extra voor te betalen) .
Bij de chauffeur had ik ook al gemerkt dat het aannemen van 'niet verdiend' geld iets ondenkbaar is.
Als hij 19 RMB moest betalen en ik geef hem 20 RMB dan wil hij echt die 1 RMB niet houden. Hij geeft mij nog liever 5 RMB terug dan die 1 RMB te houden.

I asked M to babysit the kids in January.
Because I was not sure whether she wanted to do it, I told her I wanted to pay her extra for it (I have to pay another babysitter too). Apparently that was an insult, it's part of her job as Ayi to take care for the children, and babysitting is part of her job (without an extra cost).
I also noticed that for the driver the acceptance of "unearned" money is unthinkable.
If he had to pay 19 RMB and I give him  20 RMB, then he really doesn't keep that 1 RMB. He preferes to give me 5 RMB back rather than to keep the 1 RMB.
