welcome back in china

Normaal als we van vakantie terugkomen, pieker ik al in het vliegtuig over alle was die me de komende week te wachten staat.
Nu kon ik relaxed terugvliegen, wetende dat M alle was en strijk zou doen.
'Relaxed zijn' is altijd maar van korte duur in China. Toen we aankwamen, belde ik de chauffeur op om ons te komen halen. Hij begint een littanie af te steken waarvan ik amper een paar woorden begreep. Mijn lieve echtgenoot is als tolk niet echt een hulp dus probeer ik hem eenvoudige vragen te stellen zoals "waar ben je nu?" Het antwoord is weer ne ganse epistel. dus tweede poging : 'ben je in Guangzou ?' "Neen". shit wat nu. Hij begint te babbelen en te babbelen en ik versta eigenlijk niet veel meer dan "morgen".  Ik weet dat ik niet goed ben in datums en afspraken, dus begint mijn halve trouwboek mij te beschuldigen dat ik hem de verkeerde datum heb doorgegeven en dat hij ons maar morgen terugverwachtte. Ik begin natuurlijk weer te stressen.
Met een taxi naar huis dus. Maar waar wonen wij ook al weer ? hmmm, hoe spreken we ons adres uit ???? pffffffff

nadien krijg ik van de chauffeur een sms in het chinees. Het heeft me 90 min gekost om het bericht te ontcijferen maar heb het toch gevonden  " sorry , ik wou tegelijk met jullie aankomen in Guangzhou om jullie op te pikken maar door het vele verkeer duurt de reis een kleine 8 uur "
( ik heb mij dus niet van datum vergist !!)
Thuis hadden we een aangename verrassing : M had eten voor ons gekocht : brood, bananen, appelsienen, koekjes. ik heb het echt wel getroffen met mij ayi. 

Normally when we come back from vacation, already in the plain I worry about all the laundry that need tbe done in the coming week. Now I could fly back relaxed, knowing that M would wash all the clothes and iron.
"Relaxed are 'is always short-lived in China. When we arrived, I called the driver to pick us up. He begins stabbing from which I only understood a few words. My dear husband is not really a help as an interpreter so I try him simple questions like "where are you now?" The answer is again a whole story . So the second attempt, "are you Guangzou?" "No". shit what now. He begins to talk and talk and I do not really understand much more than "tomorrow". I know I am not good at dates and appointments, so the other part my wedding book starts accusing me that I have passed the wrong date and that he expected us back tomorrow. I was off course again stressed.
With a taxi home so. But where do we live again? hmmm, how we pronounce our address?? pffffffff

then I got a text message from the driver in Chinese. It has taken me 90 minutes to decrypt the message but I found it
"sorry, I tried to arrive at the same time as you in Guangzhou to pick you up but due to the heavy traffic the trip takes me about 8 hours"
(I did give him a wrong date !)
At home we had a pleasant surprise: M had bought food for us: bread, bananas, oranges, biscuits. I'm really lucky with my Ayi.
