termieten - termits

we hebben termieten in ons huis. larven in het houtwerk en in het huis vliegen vliegjes met hele lange vleugels. blijkbaar eten die de framen van de deuren op. Een alom gekend probleem in Guangzhou... nieuw voor mij. Je kan die niet zomaar doden, daar heb je professionals voor nodig. Die boren gaatjes in de deuren en spuiten iets in het houtwerk.
Omdat ik deze mensen niet ken, wou ik in hun buurt blijven om de controleren wat ze deden. Maar ik wou nu ook niet naast hen blijven staan, dus heb ik Mr P bij mij genomen om mij te leren chinees schaken. Niet evident als je geen chinees kan lezen. Ik sukkel dan ook een beetje erop los. Tot ook de termietspecialisten zien dat we schaken. ze komen zich naast mij zetten en elke keer ik een schijf wil vastpakken, maken ze de mooiste geluiden.
' sttttt, neeen, oooooooeeee, niet doen,...'
ja, wat mag ik dan nog bewegen ? Elke zet, werd door 3 mensen goedgekeurd. Als iedereen zegt wat je wanneer moet doen, is de fun er ook af. ik ben eten gaan maken, terwijl zij in mijn plaats verder speelden.
toen ik terug ging kijken hoe het er voor stond, hebben ze mij gefeliciteerd; ik had gewonnen.
nu heb ik zelfs al personeel om voor mij te schaken ;-D

apperently we have termits in our house. bugs in the wood of the house and little fly's with long ailes. they seem to eat the frames of the doors and windows. A well known problem in Guangzhou... but new for me.
You can't just kill them, you need professionals. They drill a little hole in the door and used a special product the kill the bugs. Because I don't know these people, I wanted to stay around when they are working in my house. ( just to check without standing next to them) so I asked Mr P to sit with me in the dining room to teach me to play chinese chess.
Not easy if you are not able to read the chinese characters. So I try to do the best I can ( I have to admit not so successful) until 'the professional termit killers' saw us playing chess. They can to give me a helping hand. Every time I wanted to make a move, they made the most beautiful sounds.
 ' sttttt. nooooon oeeoooeeoooooe, don't do that,...'
ok, what can I move? every move I did , was been approved by 3 people. If everybody tells you everytime what to do, there is no fun anymore. So I prepared diner, while they played my game.
When I went back to check how the game was evoluating , they congratulate me because I won.
now I have even staff to play chess for me ;-D
