hainan - sanya

na een weekje europa terug naar china, maar toch een tussenstop in een tussenwereld : Hainan.
Hainan is een eiland in de Zuid-Chinese Zee dat tevens de kleinste provincie van China uitmaakt.
na een uurtje vliegen, sta je al tussen de palmen en geniet je van een warme zeebries in Sanya.
Ik had totaal de verkeerde kledij mee. begin januari had ik een temperatuur van 20 graden verwacht ( gezien de temperatuur hier in Guangzhou)
De temperatuur ging eerder naar de 30 graden. Geen short, geen rokjes, geen tshirts, mmmmmrddddee
Maar een mens mag niet klagen, gelukkig had ik nog op het allerlaatste een zwempak meegenomen ( want misschien is er wel een overdekt zwembad) en dus werd dit met outfit voor de komende dagen ( had ik maar een tube Veet meegenomen)
Bij onze eerste wandeling werden we in vloeiend russisch aangesproken door een chinees. eerst dacht ik dat hij mandarijns sprak, tot ik het woord 'massage' hoorde. massage is niet massage in het chinese. toen ik 'ik begrijp je niet ' in het chinees stammelde, vroeg de chinees heel verbaasd ; je bent geen rus ? sanya blijkt enorm populair te zijn bij russen.
De palmbomen, de westerse restaurants, de mooie hotels, ... het lijkt wel een droom.
Ik geef toe dat de dominicaanse republiek net iets meer heeft, maar voor een uurtje vliegen vond ik dit ook best te pruimen.
- tip van een vriend : de attractie 'end of the world' zijn gewoon 3 stenen in de zee. het is het meest zuidelijke punt van china. niet te moeite om naar toe te gaan
- taxis die je voor een vaste prijs willen meevoeren, zijn te mijden. onze taxi wou ons voor 35 RMB naar de luchthaven brengen ( wat niet duur is) maar wij stonden erop dat hij met de meter werkte , resultaat slechts 21 RMB
- alle toeristische trekpleisters zijn relatief duur (tov het vaste land)

after an hour of flying, you are already among the palms and you will enjoy a warm sea breeze in Sanya.
I had packed completely the wrong clothes. beginning of January I had expected a temperature of 20 degrees (given the temperature here in Guangzhou) The temperature was 30 degrees. No shorts, no skirts, no tshirts, mmmmmrddddee
But I can not complain, luckily I had at last brought a swimsuit (because maybe there is an indoor swimming pool) and so this was my outfit for the next few days (if only I had brought a tube of Veet )
During our first walk, we were approached by a fluent russian speaking chinese. First I thought he spoke Mandarin,  until I heard the word "Massage". massage is not massage in Chinese. when I "I do not understand you" in Chinese stut, asked stuttered, the man was surprised, you're not a Russian? sanya appears extremely popular with Russians.
The palm trees, western restaurants, beautiful hotels, ... it seems like a dream.
I have to admit that the Dominican Republic has slightly more charm, but for an hour flight I found it also quite enjoyable.
- Tip a friend: the attraction 'end of the world "are just three stones in the sea. it is the southernmost point of china. don't pay to see it
- Taxis offering you a fixed price to drive you around, you better avoid. our taxi wanted to bring us for 35 RMB to the airport (which is not expensive) but we insisted that he worked with the meter, result : we paid only 21 RMB
- All the tourist attractions are relatively expensive (compared to the mainland)
