knutselen - craft

De kinderen zijn met knutselles begonnen. Als enigste buitenlanders in de groep, zijn ze natuurlijk weer de attractie van de dag. Terwijl Jinthe in de teken en knutselles zit , gaat seth naar de ‘ontdekking van de wereld’ les. Allebei in het chinees. Voor jinthe ondertussen geen probleem meer.  Maar voor seth was het zijn vuurdoop. Tot mijn verbazing, als mama er niet in het zicht is, kan Seth zich met een mengeling van engels en chinees goed uitdrukken. Keyi, kan kan ,hai you yi ge. Alles kwam er vlotjes uit.
Jinthe is ondertussen mij al voorbijgestoken. Ze weet woorden die ik totaal niet ken. Maar soms kan ze ook een ganse paragraaf chinees opdreunen zonder te ze begrijpen wat ze zegt. ( de chinese lerares is dus toch wel iets te chinees qua methodes).
terwijl mijn kinderen druk in de weer zijn met hun verfjes, plakstift en vormpjes, vraagt de organisatrice of ik niet meer geinteresseerd ben voor seth in een andere cursus : nl schaken. Seth is pas 4 jaar  ! ja , dat weet ze. Ze hebben een groepje jonge schakers van 4 tot 5 jaar. De dappere chineesjes nemen het met zijn alle tegelijk op tegen de leraar. De regels worden vereenvoudigd maar toch ;  chapeau .

The children have begun crafts societies. As the only foreigners in the group, they are of course the attraction of the day. While Jinthe is in the draw and crafts societies, seth goes to the "discovery of the world class”. Both in Chinese. For jinthe no longer a problem. But for Seth it was his fireproof. To my surprise, when mom is not there, Seth canexpress  himself with a mixture of English and Chinese quiet well. Keyi, can can, hai you yi ge. Everything came out smoothly.
Jinthe has now been taken the lead in chinese communication. She knows words I do not have a clue what she says. But sometimes she can recite a whole paragraph in chinese without understanding what she says her self. (Chinese teacher is still using the chinese methods).
while my kids are busy with their painting, glue stick and molds, the organizer asks if I'm not interested in another course for seth: chess. Seth is only 4 years! yes, she does know that. They have a group of young chess players from 4 to 5 years. The brave Chinese children take the conquest to win against the teacher. The rules are simplified but even then; chapeau.
