trip central china

onze reis gaat deze keer naar de provincies sihuan en chongqing. ik had ook een kaart van guizhou gekocht maar het is wat te optimistisch om dit ook te doen. Mr P, Jinthe , sethje en ik pakken onze spullen en trekken naar de luchthaven. aangekomen blijkt dat onze vlucht geannuleerd is. op dat moment ben ik de enigste volwassene te zijn van onze 4. Dus ik begin van A naar B naar C naar D te lopen om uit te zoeken waar ik een nieuw ticket kan krijgen en dan moet ik eerst een bonnetje ophalen en met dat bonnetje naar een andere balie tickets ophalen, inchecken en dan beginnen stressen om op tijd nog je vliegtuig te halen.  terwijl ik begin te stressen, zijn mijn 3 reisgezellen al aan het zagen of het nog lang duurt. pas een uur onderweg en ik mis J al.
We komen aan in Chengdu. via het internet had ik een auto gereserveerd. maar dat blijkt nu een probleem te zijn. als buitenlander kan ik de auto niet huren. ( dezelfde maatschappij kon mij in kunming mij wel de auto verhuren). ze vermoeden dat mijn paspoort vals is en aangezien ik de eerste buitenlander ben die er een auto huurt, weten ze gewoon niet wat te doen. na veel blablabla ( gebeld naar hoofdkantoor in Beijing ( druk 9 voor engels en er neemt een meisje de telefoon op die geen engels kan spreken ??? fijn ) wordt alles op de naam van mijn chauffeur gezegd.  mij vertrouwde ze niet maar onze chauffeur die geen cent op zak heeft, die kan wel huren. Onze chauffeur gaat de auto controleren en ik vul de papieren in.
de auto leek wel of hij gisteren gebruikt was om naar het containerpark mee te rijden. in ieder geval moet ik niet naar de carwash gaan voor ik de auto terugbreng.
we zoeken naar een hotel ( ondertussen is het 23:00). Naar goeie gewoonte wil Mr P claxoneren terwijl wij een brommer passeren maar er komt geen geluid. ( klein defect). ik kijk achter mij in de zijspiegel of de brommer ok is, en ik merk dat de spiegel gebarsten is ( is ook een klein defect). Ik stap uit aan een hotel en merk dat een van de twee lampen stuk is. Mr P had alles gemerkt bij het oppikken van de auto maar dit zijn kleine defecten blijkbaar.
een reis goed begonnen is half gewonnen.
Onze rondreis : nu we al meer dan een tempel bezocht hebben, gaan ze ons enkel beperken tot de hoogtepunten. Ik weet wel dat sihuan ook mooie tempeltjes heeft maar we hebben ze wel al genoeg kleine tempels gezien.

Mr. P, Jinthe, sethje and I packed our bags and go to the airport. arrived I see that our flight was canceled. I realise that I am the only adult from the four of us. So I start to run from A to B to C to D to find out where I can get a new ticket. I need to get a receipt and with that receipt go to another counter to pick up tickets , then check in stressing because it really start to get a close one. while I start to stress, my three companions already are bored from waiting because it takes a long time. only an hour away and I miss J already
We arrive in Chengdu. I reserved a car through the internet. but now it appears that there is a problem. I can not rent the car as a foreigner. (The same company in kunming rented me a car earlier this year ). they suspect that my passport is fake and since I'm the first foreigner to be renting a car, they just do not know what to do or how to check it. after much blablabla (phoned headquarters in Beijing (press 9 for English and a girl picked up the phone , she speaks no English?? i m sure I pressed nine,......fine), everything could only be ok if eveything is done in the name of my driver. they did not trust me, but our driver who has not a penny in his pocket, can rent the car. Our driver will check the car and I fill in the papers.
the car looked like it was yesterday used to the container to drive. In any case, I do not go to the car wash for me to take the car.
we are looking for a hotel (now it is 23:00). t Mr. P wants to horn as we pass a moped but there is no sound. (Small defect- no hooter). I look behind me in the side mirror to check wether the bike is ok, and I notice that the mirror is cracked (also a small defect). I get off to a hotel and notice that one of the two lights is broken. Mr P had all noticed when picking up the car but these are minor defects apparently.
travel a good start is important.
Our tour: now we have already visited more then one temple, we stick this time just to the highlights. I know Sihuan has also beautiful temples but we have seen enough small temples.
