pyjama - pajamas

in Guangzhou lopen dikwijls Chinese vrouwen rond in hun pyjama als ze in de compound rondlopen. Althans zou lijkt het toch.
Als zij het mogen, waarom dan wij niet.
Dus eerst op zoek naar een chinese pyjama. Klein probleem : geen tijd om een pyjama te kopen. ( ik weet dat dit raar klinkt, want ik werk niet). Daarom stuur ik mijn chauffeur op pad : koop mij een chinese pyjama ( geen slaapkleed) , geen roze, liefst een beetje kant aan en een belachelijke strik. ( en liefst een die mij past en niet te duur is). Zeg nog een keer dat onze chauffeur een gemakkelijk job heeft. De belachelijke strik had hij niet begrepen, maar hij is teruggekomen met een chinese pyjama, met een beetje kant aan, groen ( dus niet roze) en een klein strikje ( die niet belachelijk is).  Hij had niet begrepen dat ik een lollige pyjama nodig had. Hij begreep nog minder toen ik zei dat ik de pyjama ging aandoen om de kinderen van school te halen. Soms denk ik , dat hij het niet wil begrijpen.
Het voordeel van de kleine kinderen is dat ze niet beschaamd zijn als de mama's grapjes uithalen. ze vinden het zelfs leuk en cool.
 

Let op de details ( wij hebben zelfs dezelfde hotelslippers aan).

Zelfs de schooldirecteur zag het wel zitten om omringd te worden door vrouwen in pyjama's

Guangzhou Chinese women often walk around in their pajamas when they walk around in the compound. At least it would seems. If they can, so can we.
So first look for a Chinese pajamas. Small problem: no time to buy a pair of pajamas. (I know this sounds strange, because I do not work). So I give my driver the following order: buy me a Chinese pajamas (no dressing gown), no pink, preferably with a little lace and a ridiculous knot. (And preferably one that fit me and not too expensive). Who dares to say that our driver has an easy job. He didn't understand the ridiculous knot, but he came back with a Chinese pajamas, with a little lace, green (not pink) and a little knot(not ridiculous). He was surprised to hear that I needed funny pajamas. He understood the whole thing even less when I said I was going to wear the pajamas to pick the children up from school. Sometimes I think that he doesn't want to understand.
The advantage of small children is that they are not  ashamed if mom is joking. they even find it fun and cool.
