Dag 2 voor Chinese nieuwjaar : nog meer vuurwerk. Overal lawaai, vuurwerk maar ook een rood lint waarin het ene cracker na de andere met een bliksemflits een luide knal maakt. Het enige wat ik mij kon afvragen was, wie gaat dat morgen allemaal opkuisen….gisteren...

de budha van Leshan is gigantesk. eerst hadden we ticket gekocht om binnen het complex te gaan maar buiten dat je een foto kan nemen dich tegen zijn hoofd of aan zijn voeten, raad ik iedereen aan om de boot te nemen. eerst en vooral omdat de wachtrij...

dag 4: zigong

een dagje speciaal voor seth : de dinosaurussen. hier is een massagraf van dinos gevonden. de reusachtige skeletten staan imposant in de zaal. wetenschappers vermoeden dat de dieren vergiftigde planten hebben opgegeten ( met verhoogde concentratie arseen)...

we stoppen in Maotai. gekend voor zijn witte sterke drank. volgens de kenners op de straat , de enige bajiu waar je geen hoofdpijn van krijgt als je er teveel van drinkt. Maar ik wil het liever toch niet uittesten. ik moet nog altijd op mijn kinderen...

bowling

een typhoon over guangzhou : regen en regen en wind. niet een ideale dag. maar niet getreurd : we gaan naar de bowling. niet slecht in Tianhe sport center. wanneer de kinderen spelen gaan aan de zijkant balkjes omhoog. zo kunnen ze ook wat punten sprokkelen....

nog steeds regen : we gaan op pad naar baojinggong - treasury cristal palace 80 RMB per persoon deze grotten liggen in de buurt van shoagoan. Het is niet overweldigend maar relatief goed. de hallen zijn vrij mooi verlicht. de kinderen vonden het spectaculair....

in panyu there is a ancient Song dynasty town called shawan. (55 rmb entrance fee) I wanted to visit it with my friend. But Mr P was curious what was special about the town. so he followed/accompagnied us the whole trip. I really like Mr P and I m grateful...

I went to a chinese newyear evening market. One of the stands was actially a promotion stand for an imported food website. www.wangooshop.com I bought some stuff at their stand. the prices are acceptable and they have some food they I didn t find before...
